To provide a safe, healthy environment where adult survivors of sex trafficking can rest, heal, recover and develop life skills necessary to become empowered, independent, and self-sufficient women is the mission of Lila Mae’s House and we are proud of our partnership with Lila Mae’s. The annual Rhythm and Wine event in January was a runaway success and made for a beautiful evening for friends and supporters! Hosted at M’s on Fourth Street, the evening included great food, flights of wine, a silent auction, and wonderful memories. A definite must attend event!

Mid-Step Services is dedicated to providing residential, vocational, educational, and recreational services to people with intellectual disabilities in a caring, supportive environment where each individual is encouraged to reach his or her highest potential. Four Seasons contributes by providing a caring and supportive space for recreation and wellness for Mid-Step residents. Four Seasons was honored to be selected as the new home for GiGi Fit, a wellness program of GiGi’s Playhouse. GiGi’s seeks to change the way the world views Down syndrome and to send a global message of acceptance for all.

Apple Tree provides a full spectrum of programs for the six-week-old infant through the school-age child. Apple Tree offers special summer programs, exciting field trips, enrichment programs and before and after school care. Out of center activities, such as swimming lessons and gymnastics, add more options for fun learning. Four Seasons continues its support with summer swim lessons and is expanding its summertime programming support for Apple Tree.

Four Seasons is an open, supportive, warm, and inclusive environment for all people in our community. We don’t see ability or disability; we see people.

There are many benefits of gardening to the individual and the community. Sioux City has several community gardens, but the St. Thomas Community Garden is unique. All its produce is given away to those in need via its food pantry. We are glad to support this effort to provide fresh produce to members of our community and their families.

The Healthiest State Initiative is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization driven by the goal to make Iowa the healthiest state in the nation. By engaging worksites, communities, schools, retail food, organizations, institutions and individuals, we can inspire Iowans and their communities to improve their health and happiness, and ultimately achieve our goal. Four Seasons joined this initiative in 2020 as a registered 5-2-1-0 Worksite.

Earlier this year Four Seasons Health Club was welcomed as a member of the Morningside Commercial Club. The Morningside Commercial Club is made up of Businesses and Individuals in the Morningside Area. Each year Morningside Days is put on, including a parade and carnival. Morningside Days is the longest running festival is Sioux City. The Morningside Commercial Club also sponsors the Picnic in the Park (Food trucks every Thursday from May to September, Junk in the Park (outdoor Flea Market), and the Party in the Park (Pig roast and car show).
